Is mental Performance coaching a form of therapy?

No, mental performance coaching is not therapy; although from the outside it may seem similar. Mental performance coaching focuses on helping you develop a mental skills set to perform at your best. Therapy often (but not always) is concerned with the treatment of a diagnosed mental disorder. At times the two may share tools, but the purpose of the tool is considerably different.

Do only athletes benefit from mental skills coaching?

Nope. Any person who experiences pressure filled situations can benefit!

I heard mental skills coaching is only helpful if you are having a performance issue, like the yips. Is that true?

Historically, mental performance work has been reactive. That is to say that people don't seek it out until there is a problem. However, mental skills coaching can and should be proactive! Which is to say you can develop the skill set before you need it!

How are services delivered?

Nearly all appointments at Green Peak Performance are delivered virtually through the use of secure videoconferencing software. In some rare cases, in-person sessions can be discussed.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, insurance is not accepted for mental performance services.
